Bone Grafting

Implant placement requires a certain amount of bone to stabilize the implant.  Otherwise the implant would just fall out while being used.  The amount of bone available is limited by certain anitomical structures such as the sinuses, or nerves.  Sometimes if there is not enough bone for implant placement, additional procedure to help grow bone in the desired implant location must be performed. Such as bone grafts,

and sinus lifts.
